Meet the Crew
Adam rediscovered the simple pleasure of cycling in his mid twenties when commuting by bike to his bank job in Melbourne, Australia. During a fundraiser ride through southern China in 2003, Adam befriended the founder of Grasshopper Adventures. Fast-forward to the present day and Adam is now living in Cambodia with his family and is the CEO and driving force behind the organisation. If you're lucky, you might also catch Adam leading one of our multi-day tours.
Amanda has spent the last decade balancing a career in media with an incessant need to fill the pages of her passport. During a 6-month sabbatical spent backpacking South East Asia, she became enamoured with Cambodia and was determined to return one day. When the opportunity arose to join Grasshopper Adventures as their Product Manager, Amanda jumped at it – you’ll now find her developing our Self-guided Tours and cycling the streets of Siem Reap.
A devoted hiker at heart, William has become a fanatic convert to cycling since joining Grasshopper Adventures in 2013. His week is not complete without spending at least one day navigating the country lanes of Thailand or the back alleys of Bangkok by bike. Fluent in Thai, William has unique insight into the local culture and has created a strong bond within his team. With a long history of working in community-based ecotourism, William was the perfect fit for Grasshopper Adventures.
Steve, our Vietnam General Manager, has a history of tourism product development in his native USA and first came to Southeast Asia to research and develop a new project at Angkor. Following the completion of this venture he joined the Grasshopper Adventures team. As a child, biking was more than just a way for Steve to get to school. It gave him the freedom to explore the world beyond his hometown, a world he is still exploring today from the saddle of a bike.
